Precision in Every Micron, Excellence Through Every Fire
Forging the Soul with Craftsmanship, Reaching Horizons with Perseverance — My 26-Year Journey with Jinghong Mold
From the ridges of Zigong, Sichuan, to the bustling industrial zones of Dongguan, Guangdong; from a young apprentice earning 300 RMB a month to the helmsman of Jinghong Mold—I have spent twenty-six years deeply rooted in the fastener industry. With nothing but a punch pin and a dream, I carved out my own path. Behind the grease-stained hands and the obsession with technical mastery lies my story: a blend of grit, precision, and responsibility.
A Dreamer in a Strange Land
In 2003, driven by the innate resilience of a Sichuan native, I dove into the fastener mold industry. At 18, I arrived in Dongguan with a simple bag. My 300 RMB salary was stretched to the limit: 200 RMB for rent and meals, and the remaining 100 RMB was spent either on technical books or sent back home.
While the workshop machines roared day and night, I stayed by the lathe, obsessing over the basics of grinding and calibration. While others rested, I was dissecting blueprints. The thick calluses on my fingertips, layered with machine oil, became my "medals of growth." To save money and master the craft, I didn't go home for the first three Chinese New Years. I spent those Eves cleaning the workshop and practicing with my calipers, turning homesickness into technical expertise.
The Leap: From Mastery to Entrepreneurship
Perseverance eventually found its echo. In thirteen years, I rose from an apprentice to a technical backbone, with my salary growing thirty-fold. More importantly, I mastered every nuance of ejector pins and punch pins. In 2018, after 17 years of "tempering" in the industry, I founded Jinghong Mold Factory. It was more than a business; it was a commitment to my original intention: to push precision to the limit.
Entrepreneurship is never a smooth road. With a team of 12 and monthly overheads of nearly 200,000 RMB, every penny counted. But one thing remained non-negotiable: Quality.
Punch pins and ejector pins are the "heart" of a mold. A fraction of a millimeter’s error can scrap a customer’s entire tool. I hold a tolerance of -0.01mm—less than one-sixth the diameter of a human hair. When a client once questioned our precision, I took samples directly to their workshop for real-time testing. The results spoke for themselves, securing a long-term partnership.
Crafting the Core with Obsession
I am almost "obsessive" about material selection. With over two decades of experience, I can judge the density and purity of steel just by the texture under my fingertips. Whether it’s H9 for standard durability, H55 for toughness, or M12 for high-pressure environments, we match the material to the mission.
To conquer high-end challenges, we introduced Swedish ASP60 powder high-speed steel, which offers wear resistance far beyond ordinary grades. For the medical industry’s burr-free, high-cleanliness requirements, my team and I spent weeks fine-tuning heat treatment temperatures. After dozens of tests, we finally broke into the medical device sector.
With five rigorous stages—cutting, heat treatment, grinding, polishing, and individual inspection—we produce 300 units per hour, each one scrutinized as if it were the only one.
A Global Footprint
To serve diverse needs, Jinghong Mold offers a comprehensive product range: diameters from 2.3mm to 40.3mm, full support for non-standard customization, and an industry-low MOQ of just 5 pieces.
Today, our footprint spans over 500 domestic enterprises across the Yangtze and Pearl River Deltas. Internationally, we’ve secured orders from over ten countries, including Russia and Turkey, with annual exports exceeding 100,000 units. We are proud to put the "Chinese Precision" label on the global stage.
Powered by Heart, Driven by Unity
The strength of a business comes from the warmth of a home. My house in Huizhou is the reward for my struggle. In my study, I keep my mentor’s old calipers and yellowed technical manuals—reminders of where I started.
From the boy who couldn't afford to go home, to the man who now drives back every year with a trunk full of gifts for the neighbors, the journey has changed, but my roots remain. My 12 employees are family. Many have followed me since my days as a worker. During off-seasons, I never cut jobs; we use the time to optimize our craft. This unity is the core strength of Jinghong.
Twenty-Six Years and Beyond
The titles have changed, but my love for the industry and my "die-hard" spirit for precision remain untouched. Today, Jinghong produces 3 to 4 million units annually, supporting sectors like medical, new energy, and automotive.
One pin, twenty-six years of craftsmanship. I believe that success has no shortcuts; it is simply about doing one thing to the absolute extreme. Moving forward, Jinghong Mold will continue to write its story of excellence, one micron at a time.
